Notes From Today's Meeting

A big thanks to everyone who swung by after school today...I know coming to a meeting was probably the last thing you wanted to do after finishing a successful year. Here's what was covered:

-Up until we leave, everyone (parents and students) should check the website on a daily basis. This will be the forum where all pre-departure info is now given...final itinerary, meeting times, anything else that may come up, etc....it will all be posted right here. All students have been instructed to make sure their parents know how to access the site and leave comments for when they are gone.

-Sleeping arrangements for when we are traveling are:
Quinn and Alex
Jordan and Sam
Breanna and Kristen
Madison, Lindsey, and Jessica

-Kristen has volunteered her suitcase for the transportation of our "gift" to Naga High School--a nice, framed (I'm guessing 30x18) print by a local Native American artist

-A teacher at Naga would like us to come into her class and share our take on American culture. She requested music, magazines, fashion, etc. If you've got some ideas, be sure to take them along

-Finally, the "performance" aspect of our visit is still looming over our heads. As all of the students know, they are expected to perform something "typically American" in front of the school. I know the Stanwood folks have prepared a dance of some kind...I will send an email and see if we can simply "support" their dance in some way.

I think that about covers what we went over today. If anything else comes to mind, I'll let everyone know. Also, after tomorrow, I will be officially checked-out of Mount Si. My phone will be set with a summer recording and my room will be locked. If anything pressing comes up, email is still the best way to go.
